At CN Newsprint we are always striving for continuous improvements along with new technological advancements. Our KBA press was the first shaftless press in the UK, which both reduces energy consumption and improves quality performance. At CN we use thermal imaged plates from Kodak, this technology improves dot reproduction. In 2008 in conjunction with IPA our pre-press provider, we developed and installed “fan-out” software thus eradicating miss-registration caused through web growth.
